Hyperspectral Remote-Sensing Workshop at Headwall – Massachusetts

Headwall held a hyperspectral remote sensing workshop in Bolton, MA, with presentations on mission planning and execution, as well as applications such as environmental monitoring and mining. This event featured an outdoor demo flight over a pond looking for harmful algal blooms.

A free, in-person Headwall hyperspectral remote sensing workshop was hosted by Headwall Photonics! Presentations and networking happened at the Courtyard Marriott in nearby Marlborough, Massachusetts on Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12, 2023. There were sessions on mission planning and execution, as well as on applications such as environmental monitoring and mining.

There was a visit to an ongoing remote sensing mission involving a lightweight UAV and ground truth watercraft performing simultaneous data capture at nearby Bare Hill Pond.

Included in the agenda was a presentation on Headwall’s ongoing project monitoring harmful algal bloom activity at Santuit Pond in Mashpee, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.
