The Youth Planetary Forum is a communication and cooperation platform initiated by young researchers in the field of planetary science. Well-known planetary scientists are consultants, outstanding young scientists are at the core, and young scholars and students make up its main body. With the successful completion of major exploration missions such as the arrival of Tianwen-1 on Mars, the landing of the Zhurong Mars rover on Mars, and the return of lunar soil by the Chang’e program, planetary science exploration and research has entered a new era of vigorous development. In order to provide a larger communication and cooperation platform for young researchers in the frontier exploration of planetary science, young researchers organized and established the Youth Planetary Forum Council in 2021 to organize and manage the Youth Planetary Forum.

The 6th Youth Planetary Forum was hosted by the School of Earth and Space Sciences of the University of Science and Technology of China, and co-organized by Shaanxi Normal University, Shandong University, Huangshan University, Nanchang University and other units.
