Harmful Algal Bloom UAV Study Webinar

Headwall and collaborator Coastal Ocean Vision are studying the phenomena of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) on and over Santuit Pond in the town of Mashpee on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. This ongoing study was started in 2022 using our own Nano HP VNIR with LiDAR and DJI Matrice 300 turnkey package.

Presentations have also been made at the AGU Annual Meeting in Chicago in 2022 and a NAHEP Training Workshop on Airborne Hyperspectral Remote Sensing for Agriculture in New Delhi earlier this year.

Valuable simultaneous ground truth measurements from a water-borne Raman spectroscopy instrument were gathered while a Headwall lightweight UAV with integrated Nano HP VNIR hyperspectral imager and LiDAR was flown overhead.
