The most recent Center for Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Europe (CHRSE) Workshop wrapped up today in Germany! Since 2019, the one-of-a-kind center has supported the implementation and utilization of hyperspectral imaging combined with other remote-sensing technology (e.g., LiDAR and GPS) with a focus on agriculture, mining, and infrastructure inspection applications.
During the workshop, we announced that the GRYFN Processing Tool is now available for purchase for both new and legacy customers of system with the Trimble Applanix APX-15. This solution changes the game for anyone post-processing Headwall airborne hyperspectral + LiDAR data collections.
Christoph Schimmer and Francesco Beccari planned and flew a Nano HP VNIR + LiDAR demo mission. With the GRYFN Processing Tool and Trimble Applanix POSPac PP-RTX, initial VNIR and DEM results were obtained within an hour of flight!

Participants learned about hyperspectral imaging, LiDAR, and how airborne drone payloads can capture data invaluable for predicting crop yield, detecting disease, inspecting infrastructure, and much more! Hosts and speakers show how software can reveal important aspects of the area that is overflown, best practices for conducting successful missions, and what experiences have taught them.
The number of attendees is limited, so that each person can get the most of their experience at the CHRSE, located on a working farm in Adelschalg, Germany that uses technology in real-world situations.
We host workshops at our facility on the premises of geo-konzept in Adelschlag, Germany near Munich, and also sponsor online webinars. See the agenda of the most recent workshop, below.
