IASIM 2024 – Bilbao, Spain
Join us at the inno-spec booth at the IASIM conference on Tuesday, at 3 pm on 9 July 2024 for a live demonstration of how to use the inno-spec RedEye NIR system and perClass Mira software for industrial quality control.
The IASIM conference, a biannual event of which inno-spec is a sponsor, brings together speakers, contributors, attendees and exhibitors from a large variety of scientific communities (food processing, pharmaceuticals, forensics, art, remote sensing, etc.) using a large variety of spectral imaging (microscopic, macroscopic or remote sensing) coupled to spectroscopic techniques (UV, VIS, NIR, SWIR, Raman, etc). It will include five days of scientific sessions, with oral and poster presentations on spectral imaging research and applications. Pre-conference activities with several courses and workshops are also planned.
In recent years hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is more widely used in industrial process analysis. Emerging applications include food processing, pharmaceutical quality control, mining process control, and sorting of harvested produce. At the same time, HSI is used for specific challenges in waste management, such as building-site waste separation or textile sorting, in addition to the already mature technology of polymer recognition.
These applications require robust hardware to withstand harsh conditions, but also a reliable and flexible software to model and execute recognition and prediction algorithms for each specific implementation. The easy-to-use interface, efficient ways of model evaluation and adaption and the possibility of real-time deployment make the demonstrated software a perfect match for the ingress protected camera built for long-term 24/7 operation.
