This Fall’s in-person workshop at the Center for Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Europe (CHRSE) started today!
Let Me Know About the Next Workshop!
“I look forward to these CHRSE workshops hosted with our partner geo-konzept in Germany,” said David Blair, Headwall Vice President, General Manager Remote Sensing. “The concept has proven itself sound. We’re the only jointly operated commercial endeavor that is devoted to implementing and fulfilling the promise of hyperspectral imaging in the context of remote sensing, in particular with field-based and UAV-based systems.”
geo-konzept’s facility is a real place where experts from around Europe and beyond can come and share their experiences and knowledge. I’ve seen people learn from the real-life stories shared by seasoned researchers traveling to far-off places on scientific or commercial missions. And I’ve also spoken with students and principal investigators who have new ideas and suggestion on how to make the experience better. I genuinely believe that customers can help make products better if companies has their ears and minds open and are willing to devote time and resources.”

Francesco Beccari, Headwall’s Sales Manager EMEA, says that although the pandemic forced the CHRSE and Headwall and geo-konzept to host the workshop successfully remotely, being back to an in-person event is where the true value lies. “There is nothing like meeting people face to face,” he says. “We have some people who come year after year and others who are new to the workshop, and might even be new to hyperspectral and/or LiDAR remote sensing. This workshop builds a sense of community and shared experiences. So as more and more people use these technologies, they can indeed stand atop the shoulders of those who started before them.”

The CHRSE was formed by Headwall and geo-konzept to support the implementation and utilization of hyperspectral imaging technology along with other sensor technology focusing on agriculture, mining, environmental monitoring and infrastructure inspection applications. The Center itself is located at the geo-konzept facility, Wittenfelder Str. 28, 85111 Adelschlag, Germany, about 1 hour north of Munich.
